On 5 April, representatives of PanAust’s Lao-registered company, Phu Bia Mining meet with H.E. Mr Sonexay Siphandone, Lao’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning and Investment.

Phu Bia Mining (PBM) Chairman, Mr Chanpheng Bounnaphol and other Company representatives visited H.E. Mr Sonexay Siphandone to congratulate him on being elected as a member of the Party Politburo and his leadership and ministerial appointments following the formation of the new Government of Laos in March.

During the visit, PBM representatives discussed the Company’s Operations and production performance in 2020 and highlighted the Company’s support to the Government of Laos to help fight COVID-19.

The Company’s contributions in royalties, salary and profit taxes, dividends, concession and road fees and other customs and import excise taxes made to the central Government of Laos in 2020 were also discussed.

H.E. Mr Sonexay Siphandone also used the opportunity to extend Lao New Year greetings to the PBM board of directors.
