Laos-based PanAust subsidiary, Phu Bia Mining, recently received an ‘A’ class certification as a ‘mining company with excellent environmental management and monitoring practices’ at the annual Laos’ Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) Sector Meeting. This is the highest recognition MoNRE has given to our Phu Kham Copper-Gold Operation’s Environmental Management and Monitoring Plan (ESMMP).

In our responsible mining practices, we limit the impact of our operations on the natural environment by investing in, and prioritising, effective management of mine waste, efficient use of resources, progressive rehabilitation of land, maintenance of ecosystem services, and environmental awareness training programs for our workforce.
