Phu Bia Mining contributes US$14.1 million to the Xaisomboun Provincial Government
Phu Bia Mining (PBM) is pleased to announce a payment to Provincial Government of more than US$14 million at an event held at Xaisomboun Government Offices on 7 January 2026. The payment is comprised of US$7m in advance profit tax for the last 6 months of 2025 as well as US$7.1 million in royalties for December 2025.
This is just one of the many payments PBM makes to Xaisomboun Provincial Government at regular agreed intervals during each year of our operations. Earlier last year, in July, the first six months advance profit tax of US$6m. Also, after the comprehensive audit is complete for the 2025 profit tax, another significant payment will be remitted to the Xaisomboun Provincial Government at the end of March 2026 once the annual audit is complete. The royalty payment to the government at the year to date is more than US$35 million for 2025.
Dr Thongpaseuth Sayyalath, Vice President of Provincial Administration Office, said the revenue from Phu Bia Mining to XSB is more than 80 per cent of the province’s total annual revenue, which is vital for social-economic development to XSB.
Mr Chanpheng Bounnaphol, Principal Government Advisor, said the Company’s strong performance in 2025 reflected the depth and resilience of its relationships across the business, stating “PBM’s success is built on the strength of its relationships with the Xaisomboun Provincial Government, our host communities, employees, suppliers, peers and partners.”
