During 4 – 6 June 2026, Phu Bia Mining (PBM) employees and local communities participated in celebration on the the National Tree Planting Day (on 1 June) and World Environment Day and National Environment Day (on 5 June). \u2018Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future.\u201d is the United Nations World Environment Day theme 2026.<\/p>\n
The celebrations were held at the local communities close to Phu Kham Copper-Gold and Ban Houayxai Gold-Silver Operations in Xaisomboun Province. The PBM employees, local communities, and students participated in the tree planting activities at the local schools. .<\/p>\n
A separate event was also held at the Ban Houayxai and Phu Kham mine sites with onsite PBM and contractor employees. The Environment team, representatives from site departments also collected rubbish, planted trees at the PBM\u2019s rehabilitation area, recycling invention competition and reflected on their commitment to environmental care.<\/p>\n
A representative from PBM Environment Department has delivered speeches at the Phu Kham event focusing on the commitment of PanAust and Guangdong Rising Hold Group (GDRH)\u2019s values to protecting the environment in which we operate, minimizing the impact to environment by implemented in accordance with the site environmental management and monitoring plan including the progressive rehabilitation program at the operation sites.<\/p>\n
Since commencing Phu Kham and Ban Houayxai Operations, Phu Bia Mining implemented the progressive rehabilitation of the land during operations and throughout the life of mine to ensure that national and international environmental obligations are met. At the end of 2025, Phu Kham and Ban Houayxai Operations have completed the progressive rehabilitated about 372 ha.<\/p>\n
