Scott is responsible for technical support and studies for PanAust’s mining operations and projects. This includes progressing studies from concept to feasibility level, overseeing the environmental impact assessment process, life of mine planning, tailings storage facility stewardship, and mine closure planning.
As Project Director for the Sepik Development Project in Papua New Guinea, Scott is responsible for the Project’s permitting, government and external affairs and community development programs. The Sepik Development Project is an inclusive development approach to advance the Frieda River Copper-Gold Project together with a hydroelectric facility that will generate renewable power and safely store process tailings and mine waste rock.
Scott is a mining engineer with 18 years’ experience in open-pit and underground mine engineering, study management and environmental permitting in corporate, operational and consulting engineering roles. Prior to commencing employment with PanAust in January 2015, Scott worked with a number of companies including Tetra Tech, Xstrata and MIM in Australia, Canada, Turkey and the United Kingdom.
Scott is a Chartered Professional (Mining) with the Australian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.
